The series Women of Society did not come about over night. As a matter of fact, it was only supposed to be one book that was in my mind for years, but only came to life after a true life experience with a good friend who passed away at an early age. I remember starting the first book (which was titled "A Woman of Society") and putting it away for what seemed to be years. Once he passed away I began questioning myself: "How often do we say we will do something and put it off?" "What dreams and ideas do we have that we just push aside in our minds?" "How long do we have to fulfill our dreams?"
His death was hard for me, but it also inspired me to finish what I started because that was what he taught me. Once I started the first book (which was the only book I had planned on writing); I found myself stopping at a certain point and saying I would do a sequel. From there, I was was asked about other characters, which gave me the idea to introduce the backgrounds of other characters that were introduced; hence what would become the Women of Society Series.
The Women of Society Series takes you into the elaborate, yet complicated lives of a group of strong, self-spoken women. Whether she clawed her way to the top or tagged along, these Women of Society lead lives only one can dream of.
All of the world appears to be perfect for these women, but what they aren't prepared for is the reality that life has to bring them. As human beings, we see what we want and believe what we want; but these women are proof that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. So be prepared to enter a world where you go behind the closed doors of hurtful pasts, painful secrets, tough decisions, triumphs, and of course you will be there when these women get their own doses of reality.
Are you ready for the ride? Who will be next? What will she do? Enter the world of the Women of Society Series!
The title of this series came to me in my sleep, honestly. Have you ever wondered or assumed why a person in their shoes acts or does as they do? For example, you see someone drive up in a nice expensive car and what is it you think of? Or you see someone in a huge expensive house on the hill? Most people would automatically think that they have it all, right? Or on the flip side, you meet a person who is mad at the world? Someone who has given up on love or life?
My question to you is have you ever thought about what got them to that point? What is that person feeling emotionally, mentally and/or physically? Are they truly happy? Is it everything that they dreamed of? What personal sacrifices were made in order to make "society" happy? I answer those questions by taking you inside the "perfect" world that we all think and know.
